With a strong background in trade marketing, sales, and retail distribution in leading Telco and FMCG companies, Mahmud brings over a decade of experience in building market-driven strategies and scaling impactful operations. Before founding WeGro, he worked in key roles at Sindabad.com, Robi Axiata Limited, Reckitt Benckiser, and British American Tobacco, where he excelled in business development, territory management, and trade marketing.
At WeGro, Mahmud’s vision is to simplify the complex lives of farmers by bridging the gap between rural agriculture and modern market systems. His leadership has positioned the company as a catalyst for agricultural innovation, enabling public participation in financing farmers while ensuring sustainable returns. With a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Accounting from East West University, coupled with a Certified Supply Chain Analyst credential, Mahmud combines business acumen with social purpose. Passionate about inclusive growth and rural development, he continues to lead initiatives that empower farming communities, improve productivity, and contribute to food security in Bangladesh.
